Backup With Restic for Windows

Backup With Restic for Windows

Restic is a lightweight and easy to use command line backup tool for Windows and other platforms. You can use it to back up your files to USB storage, a network drive, or to various cloud services such as Amazon S3 and BackBlaze.

Restic supports de-duplication and snapshots. Overall, it’s a really fast and efficient tool for backing up.

In this video, I’ll show you how to back up using Restic in Windows.

UPDATE
While you can remove snapshots using “forget snapshot_id”, that data still takes up space in the backup. To reclaim the space, run the restic prune command.
