Restic is a lightweight and easy to use command line backup tool for Windows and other platforms. You can use it to back up your files to USB storage, a network drive, or to various cloud services such as Amazon S3 and BackBlaze.
Restic supports de-duplication and snapshots. Overall, it’s a really fast and efficient tool for backing up.
In this video, I’ll show you how to back up using Restic in Windows.
While you can remove snapshots using “forget snapshot_id”, that data still takes up space in the backup. To reclaim the space, run the
restic prune command.
