Restic Guide Part 24: How To Use RCLONE Backend

Restic Guide Part 24: RCLONE Backend

Restic’s Rclone backend allows you to backup to Rclone remotes. This is useful for backing up to services not supported by Restic. All that’s required is an Rclone installation and an Rclone remote set up. You can then use the rclone:remote syntax to create, backup, and restore Restic repositories.

The best part is that there’s no hit to performance or speed. And you can use all Restic commands when accessing repositories using the Rclone backend.cover command only recovers files from snapshots that haven’t been permanently removed with the prune command.
